Cassidy mccann, APC
Specialist in Early Childhood Neurodevelopment, Play Therapy, & Parent Coaching
When your young child is struggling, your entire world feels upended. You watch them cycle through explosive tantrums, intense separation anxiety, aggressive behaviors, or a quiet withdrawal you can’t seem to reach. You might be getting stressful phone calls from their teacher, or find yourself constantly walking on eggshells at home just to avoid the next meltdown. You love your child fiercely, but you are exhausted, overwhelmed, and running out of ideas.
Traditional talk therapy doesn’t work for young children. A six-year-old cannot sit on a couch and explain their anxiety or behavioral triggers. Play is a child’s language, and toys are their words.
I specialize exclusively in working with children ages 3 to 10 using non-directive play therapy, alongside strategic, collaborative parent coaching. I provide a highly specialized clinical environment where young children can process big emotions, regulate their nervous systems, and heal at a neurodevelopmental level—long before they have the words to talk about it.
Healing the Child, Equipping the Parent
My clinical approach meets your child exactly where they are developmentally. Through non-directive play therapy, I help children resolve internal distress, develop emotional resilience, and naturally shift out of survival-driven behaviors. We don't just temporarily mask symptoms; we target the root of their nervous system dysregulation.
But true, lasting transformation requires a bridge back to your living room. I don't just work with your child in isolation; I partner deeply with you. Through specialized parent coaching, I translate what your child is expressing in the playroom into concrete, real-world parenting strategies.
Together, we will dismantle the daily friction, restore peace to your household, and give you the confidence and tools you need to support your child’s emotional growth.
