Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Pre-Licensed Professional
(she/her/hers)

Hi, I’m Gabrielle Carris, a therapist who loves helping teens and young adults figure out who they are, find their voice, and navigate life’s twists and turns. I also support adults of all ages who are ready to grow, reset, or tackle life’s big challenges in a way that actually feels right for them. In my sessions, you’re welcome to bring whatever’s on your mind, and we’ll figure things out together—no judgment, just support, guidance, and practical tools you can use in real life.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Communications at The State University of New York at Fredonia, and earned my Masters of Education in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Augusta University.

My Approach

My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and flexible. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered therapy, using evidence-based tools while tailoring sessions to fit your life. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, practice skills you can use outside of session, and respond to challenges in ways that reflect your values and priorities.

Areas of Focus

I am especially passionate about working with teens and young adults, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence challenges, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My niche is supporting this age group through identity exploration, academic and career transitions, social pressures, and self-discovery. At the same time, I warmly welcome adults of all ages who are seeking support, personal growth, or a renewed sense of direction. I remain flexible and adaptive, so we can address a wide variety of challenges together—whatever is most pressing or meaningful to you.

A Little About Me

When I’m not in session, I’m usually doing something that fills my cup—working out, spending time with my boyfriend and our very spoiled dog daughter, trying new food spots, hanging with friends, binge-watching a reality TV show, or traveling whenever I can. These parts of my life help me show up as a grounded, relatable, and genuine therapist, and I aim to create a space where you can be yourself, bring whatever’s on your mind, and figure things out together—one step at a time.

Licensure & Supervision

I am currently working toward full licensure in the state of Georgia, under the supervision of Kimberly Cutright, LPC, CPCS.
